Hostel

The College has a Boys Hostel near its campus having four independent blocks to accommodate students who come from the different parts of Gujarat and from other states. The Boys Hostel has provision for accommodation for around 444 students in 148 rooms across various semesters. Students can stay in the hostel for maximum up to six semesters only. The Mess is operated twice a day at lunch and at dinner.

  • The Hostel is exclusively for boy students of GEC, Modasa Campus.
  • The student must bring Mark Sheet, Photo & other necessary details when they come for admission.
  • It is expected that the hostel students have local guardians who may be contacted in case of Emergency.
  • Admission is not granted to the hostel for detained students. In case of Misbehaviour, the student will be expelled immediately.
  • Student who leaves the hostel without informing the hostel authorities, will be expelled from the hostel.
  • Hostel Terms :
    1. The first term of the hostel shall be parallel with academic term.
    2. The second term of the hostel shall also be parallel with the second academic term.
    3. While leaving hostel, student will have to make sure that all the electrical appliances (fans and tubes) as well as the switches and points must be in working condition. Along with that all the furniture items must also be without any damage. Otherwise appropriate fine will be imposed on the student responsible.
  • Each hostel room is provided with beds, tables, chairs & cupboards. Other facilities shall be provided as and when government deems fit.
  • The hostel authorities reserve the right of admission to the hostel. students, once admitted must be prepared to accept the rooms allotted to them (request for room change will not be entertained in any case). They must abide by all the rules prescribed time to time.
  • No hostel student is authorised to invite any outsider to the hostel without the prior permission from the hostel authorities and paying the guest charge as per the norms.
  • Visitors: The visiting hours are between 09:00am – 9:00pm.
  • In hostel premises, students must avoid all activities which may cause any disturbance to their companions.
  • Use of electrical appliances (such as burner, heater, stove, induction plate, cooler, AC etc.) is strictly prohibited. A penalty of Rs – 500/- shall be charged to defaulters.
  • The hostel will remain closed during Diwali Vacation.
  • As per AICTE notification, Students who have secured admission in hostel should submit an affidavit to hostel office as per given format regarding anti-ragging.
  • Above mentioned rules may be amended from time to time as per the instructions of authorities.
