Fees Structure

Government Engineering College - Modasa accepts fees as per rules and regulations laid down by the Government of Gujarat from time to time. Currently, male students are charged with tuition fees of rs. 1500/year while it is waived for female students.

Fees Payments

  • Make sure that your Enrollment Number and Mobile Number is correct.
  • Verify your personal details before making payment transaction.
  • After payment transaction PDF file is generated as your fee receipt.
  • Please note your Reference Number generated for any correspondence.
  • Take print out of that PDF, keep it with you and submit when required.

Bus concession

  • Take Bus concession FORM from ST Depot.
  • Take sign of respective department Faculty by verifying this FORM.
  • Verify this Filled FORM by student section and finally take signature of Prof. K. K. Bhatt, Electrical Engineering Department.

Scholarships

MYSY (Mukhyamantri Yuva Swalamban Yojana)

  • Eligibility: Student must have secured 80 or more Percentile in 12th Science and family income must be less than Rs. 6 lakh/annum.
  • Amount of Scholarship: Rs. 50,000/- or 50% of tuition fees whichever is less.

  • Eligibility: Student must belong to OBC category and family income must be less than Rs. 2,50,000/annum.

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS)

  • Under TFW scheme, students do not have to pay tuition fee (Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1,00,000 approx) in SFI.
  • 5% of total seats shall be filled by TFW scheme, e.g. 60 seats then 3 seats shall be filled by TFWS.
  • Students whose parent's income is less than Rs. 6 lakh/annum are eligible for TFWS.
  • Admission is strictly on merit number through admission committee.
  • TFW scheme shall be applicable for complete duration of the course(4 Years).
  • To get the benefits of TFW Scheme, the candidate has to submit the income certificate issued after 31st March from either 'Mamlatdar' or ''Taluka Development Officer (TDO)' or 'Collector(Jan Seva Kendra)' at the time of application form filling(registration for admission).
  • No other document shall be considered valid(e.g. Income tax return, Certificate issued by 'Sarpanch').

Education Loan

Students can avail the Loan facility from any public sector or private sector banks.

Different banks have different norms & policies but in general:

  • Maximum loan amount can be 15 Lakh Rs.
  • No Guarantee or collateral security required for loan upto 5 lakh Rs.
  • Repayments will start after 1 year of course completion or 6 months of a job (whichever is earlier).
  • Avail of tax rebates for the interest on an education loan under Section 80-E of the Income Tax-Act 1961.
  • The student loan will be disbursed in full or in suitable installments taking into account the requirement of funds and/or fee schedule assessed by the Bank directly to the educational institution.

ADMISSION CANCELLATION (As per GTU norms)


There are two categories of students who apply for cancellation of admission. Student must submit listed documents for admission cancellation. Application without details/Documents will not be processed. Student has to submit his/her admission cancellation application by himself/herself at institute.

Student admitted through ACPC but not enrolled to GTU:

  • Student has to personally come to student section to apply for cancellation of admission with following documents.
  • Student’s application in his/her own handwriting and counter signed by his/her guardian and institute head.
  • Photo copy of photo-id of student and guardian having his/her specimen signature.
  • Copy of admission slip, fees receipt generated by ACPC and copy of Institute fee receipt.

Student enrolled to GTU:

  • Student has to personally come to student section to apply for cancellation of admission with following documents.
  • Student’s application in his/her own handwriting and counter signed by his/her guardian and institute head.
  • Photo copy of photo-id of student and guardian having his/her specimen signature.
  • Fill GTU form for Enrollment cancellation:  FORM DOWNLOAD
  • Copy of institute fee receipt.
  • No due certificate  NO DUE CERTIFICATE FORM DOWNLOAD

INSTITUTE TRANSFER (As per CTE norms)


Process: Documents:
  1. Application counter signed by department head with remarks.
  2. Mark sheets of all earlier semesters.
  3. Student I-card.
  4. Copy of earlier year Institute fee receipt.
  5. No Due certificate.
  6. Death certificate of parents(s), in case of death of parent(s)
  7. Earlier Medical reports by Government hospital/ reputed hospital, in case of health issues.

NEW I-CARD PREPARATION PROCESS for BE/ME / D to D


Process:
  1. Keep ready the following details. (Mandatory)
    • Full Name: As per HSC / Diploma/ BE Mark sheet) write in CAPITAL LETTER ONLY

    • Date of Birth (separated by dot i.e. 01.09.1999)

    • Passport Size Latest Formal Photo (Hard copy)

BONAFIDE CERTIFICATE / CHARACTER CERTIFICATE


Process:

 To get the Bona fide certificate / Character certificate, students have to follow below steps:

  1. Download the application form for the link APPLICATION FORM DOWNLOAD
  2. Take print out of that form and fill the details given in the form.
  3. Attach required self attested proof mentioned in form.
  4. Submit the form with proof to Student Section, Admin Block.
  5. Duration to get the certificate: 02 working days
Documents:
  1. Application for certificate with counter signed by department head/ departmental coordinator with remarks.
  2. Photo copy of College I-card of student having his/her specimen signature.
  3. College term fee receipt of current year.
  4. Last exam Mark sheet/ Final or Provisional Degree Certificate.
  5. In case of not availability of college I-card, student can submit photo copy of Adhar card/PAN card/Driving License having his/her specimen signature.

Note: Student section online form entry and submission of documents with form, both are compulsory.

STUDENT NAME CORRECTION APPLICATION (As per GTU norms)


Process:

 For newly admitted students (at the time of enrollment process- First year students/D to D students)

  1. Download the application form from the link NAME CORRECTION APPLICATION FOR FOR FIRST YEAR STUDENT DOWNLOAD.
  2. Take print out of that form and fill the details given in the form.
  3. Attach self attested photo copy of student’s mark sheet of HSC/ SSC/ School leaving certificate/ Gujarat Government Gazette copy.
  4. Attach Student’s application for name correction in his/her handwriting (addressed to Principal GEC Modasa) and counter signed by department head.
  5. Submit the form with proof to departmental coordinator of Enrollment process, Student section.

For students having name correction in GTU Mark sheets

Transcript


For GTU Students:
  1. Student has to apply directly through GTU student portal https://www.student.gtu.ac.in
  2. Non pass out students needs to get bona fide certificate for transcript from college.

For HNGU students:

  1. Download the application form from the link APPLICATION FORM FOR TRANSCRIPT FOR HNGU STUDENTS DOWNLOAD.
  2. Take print out of that form and fill the details given in the form.
  3. Fill verification form at department level and complete verification process of all your documents At department level. All original mark sheets and degree certificate is required for document verification.
  4. Pay transcript fees in account section of Government Engineering College, Modasa. [Rs. 250 /- for five copy and Rs 50/- for each additional copy]
  5. Attach required self attested proof mentioned in form.
  6. Submit the form with proof to Prof. M. M. Bhunga (Applied Mechanics).
  7. Duration to get the certificate: min 05 working days.
  8. After getting the transcript made from the college, student needs to submit it to HNGU for Verification.
