MoU between GTU and GEC-Modasa
Design-centred innovation is a force multiplier that help the country move-up the value chain, making Indian industry globally competitive. In this context, Ministry of Human Resource Development processes to launch a Nation initiative for design innovation in the twelfth plan. Under this initiative, 20 new design Innovation Centres (DIC), one open design school (ODS) and a National Design Innovation Network (NDIN), linking together all this schools would be set up. Being the most innovative and largest university of India among all the affiliating type of University, Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India tries to cope up with all the largest trends in Design and Innovation, Entrepreneurship and technological advancement. Also GTU is always striving for shaping a better future for its students by putting astonishing efforts to make its education system excellent enough so that students and ultimately whole society would benefit. In the light of above facts GTU is proposing a Design Innovation Centre with collaboration of Government Engineering College, Modasa as one Spoke and GTU as a hub.
Government Engineering College, Modasa was established in 1984 under the Commissionerate of Technical Education, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar in North Gujarat region with a view of strengthening the industrial development. Students of GEC Modasa are well accepted in different fields i.e. Industries, Academic and for higher studies within and outside the country.
