Good bye to the year 2019 & Welcome to the New Year 2020.

Wishing you, a very happy & prosperous new year.

Dear all, new year brings new thought, new ideas, new challenges and many new things in our life. It’s a time to think & act on these new thoughts & ideas to transform into action & result. At this juncture, one has to also relook the past year and get the balance sheet of the works planned, committed & completed. This will helps to know our potential. Every year if we add delta in it, the campus with @ 3500 students @ 150 faculties & supporting staff will add a significant contribution in the development of the nation.

Our Hon'ble Prime minister has sought a vision to put our country in the list of developed nation. Technological innovation is the ladder to achieve the vision. Govt. has put lot of emphasis to encourage young, talented students & faculties for the technological innovations. Our institute has also received funds in various projects such as;

1. Rs. 20 lacs for Students Startups & Innovation Project (SSIP) by Govt. Of Gujarat
2. Rs. 25 lacs for setting up Design Innovation Centre (DIC) lab by GTU for conducting Innovative project
3. Rs. 20 lacs for setting up Design lab by GUJCOST.
4. Rs. 100 lacs for setting up lab in emerging trends of AI & Machine learning by Govt. of Gujarat.

Now it’s a time to come up with new projects which can solve the problems & challenges of the industry & society. Startup & innovation becomes a culture of the institution, for that Government is putting lots of efforts. This will lead the country towards developed nation. I wish that this New Year brings many projects of technological innovation for to foster the various challenges of the industries, society and world at large. More & more students shall be encouraged for the startup & innovation. It’s a challenging task but I am sure that if we collectively make efforts, some fruitful results would be definitively achieved.

There is another very important issue which I would like to share with you is the moral values. It is expected that all faculties must show an example of high moral values. Students learn many things from their teachers. Attitude makes a difference in your work. I would like to share an example, how attitude makes a difference. All of you have seen the condition of our library earlier. It was in very bad shape due to darkness, dampness, deterioration in concrete & lots of bats in the building. Since long we’re worried about this place & decided to shift to lower floor where earlier computer laboratories were there. Prof. S. P. Patel, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering & OSD Library and his team has taken this task & decided to rejuvenate the entire library. I am congratulating the entire team of library & especially to Prof. S. P. Patel that in a very short period of time entire library shifted to a new place and digitalization of all books were carried out with fixing barcode on each books are made with the help of student volunteers. This is significant contribution made in the institution & I am thankful to the entire team & student volunteers. Prof. S. P. Patel & his team have shown a high level of attitude & commitment which makes a difference in the library.

In the coming days institute will be going to achieve a status of NBA. There is also a need of having such attitude & commitment. I am sure that we will be achieved this target in this year.
