The Department of Electronics and Communication has organized a DIC and GTU approved two day workshop during 25-26th July 2019 at Department. The experts from Ahmadabad based solutions provider company A to Z informatics were called in for their expertise. Namely Mr. Bhavik Prajapati, Mr. Ankit Ranak, Mr, Bhavesh valand and Miss Tanukroy Chaudhari were experts who conducted the sessions. The entire workshop was conducted at department seminar hall in electronics and communication department. The Department has always believed in a practical learning-based approach embedded with ethical values. The department is persistently committed to providing technical knowledge with high employability skills. To fulfill the gap between industry and academia and meet our E.C. Department, G.E.C. Modasa Page 2 commitments, the department has planned in a long line of programs such as STTPs, Workshops, Webinars, remote hand on sessions in collaboration with Industries. The department of E.C. has identified key areas based on current market trends. Embedded, Networking, VLSI and IOT are the key areas for the students to look into in terms of future-proofing. In the list of many more to come with one such effort, the departments has pulled its resources for a two-day workshop on IOT, sponsored and approved by DIC and GTU. IOT- Internet of things is the latest buzzword. According to the statistics it is estimated that by 2020 the market cap of IOT would be around 1.7 Trillion dollars. It is no secret that India is an emerging player in the communications industry with the tenfold increase in mobile phones and electronics usages in last few years. As per LinkedIn, IOT will be most sort after skills by 2021. Total 35 students have participated in this workshop.
