Women Development Cell, Government Engineering College, Modasa organized a one
day seminar on “Women Empowerment: Emerging Technologies, Start Up, and
Entrepreneurship, Safety and Life Management Skills” on 6th September,2017 at town hallModasa.Dr. Heena Shah spoke on ‘Start up and Entrepreneurship Opportunities for women’ . Being an entrepreneur she shared her experience and few techniques which help in leading ones career ahead. She emphasized on hard work, smart work and marketing skills. Ms. Ruzan Khambhatta delivered her speech on ‘Safety and Security of women’. During her speech she demonstrated certain techniques which would prove very helpful when a girl encounters unusual situation. BK Chandrika didi spoke on ‘Life
Management Skills’. She tried to enkindle life in audience by explaining true meaning and
value of life. She also encouraged youth to take responsibility of her life and start walking on the path which leads to creating beautiful life. Dr. A.M. Prabhakar, Principal, Government Engineering College, Modasa , gave presentation on ‘Emerging Technologies & Opportunities for Women’ .He gave holistic idea ofemerging technologies in the field of hardware, software, agriculture, biotechnology, Nanotechnology along and various fields engineering with available future job opportunities for women. 400 plus girls of Government Engineering College, Modasa and B. Sc college, Modasa participated in the seminar.
Government Engineering College, Modasa was established in 1984 under the Directorate of Technical Education, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar in North Gujarat region with a view to spread out technical education in the region and hence promote industrial development. The institute was affiliated with Hemchandracharaya North Gujarat University (HNGU), Patan from 1984 to 2007. The institute is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad from 2008. It is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
