Department of Computer Engineering & Information Technology have jointly organized an industrial visit for 6th semester (CE/IT) students to RTTC(BSNL),AHMEDABAD on 18th January 2020. A group of 112 students have participated in the visit accompanied by faculty members Prof. Om Mehta, Prof. Anil Prajapati , Prof. Manmitsinh Zala , Prof. Aniruddhsinh Dodiya, Prof. Mayuri Rathva. 7 labs of BSNL operation were covered in this visit. Network Lab,Broadband Lab,OFC & Transmission Lab ,C-DOT NGN switch,Fiber To The Home (FTTH) Lab,Mobile Network Lab and Telecom Museum.It was an informative, interesting and a successful visit. As students of Computer Engineering & Information Technology, they understand a live Network applications and importance of Wireless technology etc.
Government Engineering College, Modasa was established in 1984 under the Directorate of Technical Education, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar in North Gujarat region with a view to spread out technical education in the region and hence promote industrial development. The institute was affiliated with Hemchandracharaya North Gujarat University (HNGU), Patan from 1984 to 2007. The institute is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad from 2008. It is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
