The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Government Engineering College Modasa, organized a One Day Workshop on VLSI on 4th September 2025. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with Sofcon India Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad, and aimed at providing students with practical exposure to VLSI design and its applications. A total of 60 students from the Electronics & Communication Engineering (EC) and Electrical Engineering (EE) departments actively participated in the event. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Vishal Vadher, Training Manager, Sofcon India Pvt. Ltd. He introduced students to the fundamentals of VLSI design, Verilog programming, and implementation of logic gates and adders using Verilog. The session also included hands-on practice with Xilinx Vivado software, where students designed and simulated digital circuits. The event was coordinated by Prof. Priyank Patel and Prof. Bhavik Brahmbhatt from the EC Department. Their efforts ensured smooth organization and active student participation throughout the workshop. The workshop proved highly beneficial for students, as it bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications in the domain of VLSI. The students appreciated the session and expressed interest in pursuing further training in this emerging field. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Hsux2Yfdf2k2aA4ZqeMloC93A35iDAuX/view?usp=sharing
