CAD/CAM Lab

This laboratory emphasizes on computer aided design and manufacturing, quality control and measurement too. It also provides various activities in nonconventional manufacturing, flexible manufacturing system and automation. This lab is equipped with CNC turning centre, 5 axis robot and other equipment's required as per syllabus. CAD Lab of Dept. has sufficient number of Personal Computers with advanced licensed like ANSYS and MATLAB

Internal Combustion Engine and Automobile Engineering Lab

This laboratory is equipped with modern instruments like modern internal combustion engine test rig, diesel smoke meter, variable compression ratio engine test rig, five gas exhaust gas analyzers etc. In this lab, performance optimization of engine parameters like power, fuel consumption and emissions etc are being taught to the students. This laboratory has also has Car Model Chassis, Cut section of 4-stroke4-cylinder diesel engine, 4-stroke3-Cylinder diesel engine and Working model of 4-stroke 1- Cylinder diesel engine.

Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Machine Lab

The Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Machine laboratory has modern turbo machine and fundamental test set up. Lab has experimental set up of Volumetric Hydraulic Bench, Reynolds Apparatus, Pelton wheel Turbine Test rig, Centrifugal pump test rig, Reciprocating pump test rig, Reciprocating compressor test rig and Axial flow pump test ring.

Heat Transfer lab

The Heat Transfer laboratory has state-of-the-art equipmentrelated to heat transfer science. Each facility is dedicated to a specific experiment to address a topic taught in the undergraduate course of heat transfer. The Heat Transfer laboratory has experimental set up of Thermal Conductivity of Insulating Powder, Composite wall Apparatus, Forced convection through pipe, Vertical tube losing heat by natural convection, Emissivity of test plate set up and Pin fin Apparatus.

Refrigeration and Air conditioning

Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Lab has facility of conducting various experiments like: Determination of COP of Vapour Compression Refrigeration system, Vapour Absorption System. Major equipment’s available are Vapour Compression Refrigeration System, Electrolux Refrigerator Window Air Conditioner, Domestic Refrigerator.

Kinematics of Machine/ Dynamics of Machine Lab

In this lab students understand the working principals of any machine and transmission of the motion and the forces responsible for the motion. In Dynamics lab students can understand unbalanced forces in rotary and reciprocating engines, can determine time period for different vibrational systems and vibration measurement techniques.

Manufacturing Process Lab (Machine Lab)

Manufacturing Process Lab contains Laboratories for manufacturing Technology Subject and Production Technology Subject, where students can do Manufacturing process begins with the product design, and materials specification from which the product is made. Students can perform the application of machining processing, joining processes, metal cutting, machine tools, machining systems, jigs and fixtures, die and mould design, material science, and machine designing and manufacturing. Manufacturing Process Lab is equipped with lathe machines, drilling machine, shaper machine, shearing machine, Power press, Die Sinking EDM machine and Wire Cut EDM Machine.

Basic Mechanical Engineering

Basic Mechanical Engineering Laboratory has various Boiler Models like Cocharan Boiler, Babcock Wilcox Boiler and Lancashire Boiler and Various models of Accessories for understanding working principle of Steam Boiler.

Mechanical workshop

Mechanical Workshop is equipped with Carpentry Shop, Fitting Shop, Wood Working Lathe, Vertical Bend Saw, Wood planner and Thickness Planner.
